IEEE International Workshop on Emergent Technologies for Instrumentation and Measurement Committee, Como (Italy). 10-11 June 1996
Summary:
In the following work we will present the design of a measurement system to be applied on a race-class bicycle, utilized to obtain an exact image of stress distribution along the frame, in order to optimize tube design. Due to the very low weight of the structure under test, the instrumentation set need to be designed so that its weight would not too much perturbate the mass distribution on the frame. Selection of utilized sensors and electronic interface design is discussed, and various examples of measured data are
showed.
